Last week, two T-38 jets took part in a NASA training flight in the sky above Washington. Today NASA published this incredible picture from the exercise, just as one T-38 flew in what is usually some of the country’s most restricted air space. This picture got us to thinking: what were the pilots thinking as they looked down upon our fair city from 1,500 feet up?
>> “Let’s see how much more NASA funding Congress wants to cut after we buzz the U.S. Capitol a few times.”
>> “I can see the line outside Georgetown Cupcake from here.”
>> “You did turn in the paperwork so we could do this, right?”
>> “I’m pretty sure I just got nabbed by a D.C. speed camera.”
>> “What do you mean you forgot the Kenny Loggins soundtrack back at base? What type of training exercise is this without Kenny Loggins?”
