Remember when those IMF/World Bank meeting were a thing that people protested? Yeah, those were the days. But don’t tell that to the folks who still insist on closing down streets in Foggy Bottom for the entire weekend. Indeed, the following streets will be closed to traffic or not allow parking from Friday afternoon through Sunday evening.

Street Closures:
– 19th Street NW from Pennsylvania Avenue to G street will be closed.

Temporary Street Closures:
– 18th and 20th Streets NW between G Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
– G Street NW between 18th and 20th Streets.
– The southern side of H Street NW between 18th and 20th Streets.G Street NW from 18th to 20th Streets

Emergency No Parking restrictions will be in effect for the following streets:
– 18th, 19th, and 20th Streets NW between G Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. 18th Street, NW from Pennsylvania Avenue to G Street

That’s not to say some protests aren’t planned—check here for details—but they certainly won’t be as big as they used to be. Protesting international financial institutions was sooooo much better in 2000.
