The Caps beat the Rangers yesterday, but you can forgive the New York Post for not knowing that.
WJLA was first to spot the gaffe in the Post’s May 10 early morning edition—under the headline “A Cap on the Season?”, the newspaper incorrectly stated that “Loss in Game 6 sends D.C. home for summer.” For anyone who didn’t watch the game, it was actually a win that’s sending D.C. to New York for a decisive Game 7 on Saturday.
