Weekend riders of the Orange, Green and Red lines: Expect more delays. WMATA reports slow service at these metro rail lines until Sunday closing. Commuters should add an extra 20 minutes to their traveling time.

Orange Line: The anticipated testing of the Silver Line will interrupt service along this route. Buses will replace trains between East Falls Church and West Falls Church. The new connection is expected to expand the Washington metro rail system to Dulles Airport and Tysons Corner in Virgnia,

Red Line: This course has single tracking between Van Ness and Friendship Heights, as well as between Takoma and Forest Glen. Both are due to scheduled track work.

Green Line: There is also scheduled track work along the route. Trains are single tracking between Prince George’s Plaza and Greenbelt.
