How do you get the beer nerd in all of us excited about a new brewery close to serving up its beers while simultaneously bringing small business into the city that is usually done in the suburbs? You can follow the steps of 3 Stars Brewing and open up a homebrewing store on the premise of their brewery that will be fully operational in a few weeks.

This Friday, 3 Stars Homebrew Company will open up to the public and sell everything you need to get your own beers started: malts, yeasts, hops, and all the supplies needed by both the novice and experienced brewer. No longer do you have to cross the river into Virginia or trek bravely to the northern reaches of Columbia, MD to get everything you need to make a great beer in your own home. The Chupacabra truck will also be there from 4-8:30 p.m. serving up tacos to keep your shopping energy high.

Along with homebrewing supplies, 3 Stars merchandise will be available for sale so you can represent DC’s next brewery on the scene. They have already won a number of fans from collaborations with Evolution and Oliver Ales and now their own beers are only a few weeks away.

This is a great opportunity to tour the facilities, talk one on one with the 3 Stars crew and other homebrewers, and be in on the ground floor of the next wave of deliciousness that will be hitting our city very soon.
