SAVOR, one of the nation’s largest beer events, is quickly approaching. And though the food- and beer-pairing extravaganza sold out in less than a day, we here at DCist have a pair of tickets to give away for Saturday night.
What to expect? Rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in the beer industry pouring both rare and classic beers specifically brought to pair with a menu created by acclaimed food consultant/chef Adam Dulye; beers from all over the country, including many that are not available here in D.C. or are extremely rare; and even Boulevard Brewing Co. and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. collaborating to brew a beer exclusively for SAVOR. Aside from the food pairings, an artisanal cheese station and oyster bar will add additional decadence and pairing options to the experience. All this takes place in the beautiful and spacious National Building Museum.
So how do you get your hands on these tickets? Leave us a comment. But not just any comment. Tell us about the best beer you’ve ever had and why. It doesn’t have to be the beer alone that was amazing, though; it could have been where you drank it, the person you drank it with, the night that ensued and so on. If for some reason you can’t leave comments—we understand firewalls and security-minded government workers—feel free to send it to tips (at) dcist (dot) com with “SAVOR” in the subject line. Make sure to get your experience in before 3 p.m. tomorrow; we’ll notify the winner via email thereafter.
Good luck and see you there!
