The Army is the only branch of the U.S. military without an official museum dedicated to its history. But that’s changing in the next few years, with a museum chronicling the U.S. Army planned for Fort Belvoir, Va. due to open in 2015.

But the Army Historical Foundation, the private group that’s backing the new facility, has so far only raised $65 million of the $155 million needed to construct the museum, the Associated Press reports. To that end, the group has enlisted a new pitchman.

Joe Mantegna, known for a variety of live-action roles but probably known best around these parts as the voice of Springfield mafia boss Fat Tony on The Simpsons, has been tapped to lead the fundraising effort for the National Museum of the United States Army.

Mantegna, 64, has long been a fixture of D.C. events honoring veterans. For more than a decade, he’s co-hosted the annual Memorial Day Concert alongside Gary Sinise.

When finished, the Army museum will join the National Museum of the U.S. Navy as the other museum dedicated to a branch of the U.S. military in the D.C. area. (The Navy museum is on the grounds of the Navy Yard in Southeast D.C.)

And, you know, Fat Tony!
