House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) will reportedly endorse Virginia Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling in the gubernatorial race against Attorney General Ken “The Cooch” Cuccinelli, reports the Post.

While the endorsement is something of a boost for Bolling, it doesn’t seem likely to stop The Cooch’s momentum towards the Republican nomination for the top spot in the Old Dominion—according to a recent poll, he leads Bolling 51 to 15. Beyond that, things seems unclear. A poll in early May found that Bolling would have a better shot against Democratic contender Terry McAuliffe than Cuccinelli would.
