Trendy resale chain Buffalo Exchange finally opened its doors to the nation’s capital Saturday at 1318 14th St. NW in Logan Circle.
Manager Anna Weldon said there was a swarm of people who waited outside before the store opened this morning. When I arrived an hour before it closed, the shop was still buzzing with activity.
“This has been the slowest since we opened,” Weldon said.
The D.C. shop is now the 50th Buffalo Exchange location listed on its website. According to The Post’s Style Blog, the arrival of this bearer of recyclable fashion means “the end of an era:”
…One where vintage addicts took seasonal Megabus trips to Brooklyn in search of Union Hardward roller skates.
That’s pretty hard core, but I can’t blame them. My experience at the Chicago shop was always positive. As for the D.C. location, I’m glad it got the warm reception. The more trendy resale shops there are in this city, the better for those who are on a shoestring budget.
