Spike Mendelsohn likes to party, but after reading his interview with Playboy, we’re not sure if we want to party with him. In the summer-barbecue-themed chat with the men’s magazine, Mendelsohn offered up some of his favorite party favors—few of which sound appetizing—and named his favorite Playmate.

Of gathering needed supplies for a Fourth of July—or other—backyard party, Mendelsohn advises bringing “suntan lotion to apply to my guests.” So, go to a party at Spike’s house, and hamburgers come with a rubdown from the chef. And his preferred beverage while grilling is “Sex on the Beach with an extra helping of sex.”

Perhaps the most telling moment is this exchange:

Playboy.com: If you could only pick two, which would you choose: A posse of hot women, the recipe for the perfect burger or an unlimited supply of your favorite beer?

Mendelsohn: Hot women and, oh, hot women. Sorry, I can’t help myself. Plus I got the burger thing down.

The Good Stuff Eatery and We, the Pizza toque adds that if there are any Playmates passing through the D.C. area, they are welcome to eat at those restaurants for free. That’s good news for October 2005 Playmate of the Month Sara Jean Underwood, whom Mendelson names as his favorite pin-up in Playboy’s recent history.
