Starting this week, you’ll no longer have to print out a ticket to jump on an Amtrak train—the rail system announced yesterday that it has implemented an eTicketing system on just about every train across the country.

You’ll now be able to print tickets at home or simply show the receipt on your smart phone. Over 1,700 conductors will be armed with iPhones and barcode scanner, which they will use to scan eTickets.

First eTickets, next maglev train? We can always hope.
