This is an eerie story. Police in Anne Arundel County were dispatched to the woods behind a shopping center in Pasadena, Md. yesterday after someone discovered a partly decomposed human head.

The Baltimore Sun reports the head was found about 4 p.m. yesterday in a wooded area near Jumpers Hole Road and Ritchie Highway.

The head was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. No identification has yet been made, but authorities say it might be that of a woman.
