PHOTOS: Random Damage From the East Coast Earthquake
Today we’re marking the one-year anniversary of the 5.8-magnitude earthquake that rattled D.C. and the rest of the East Coast. And while landmarks like the Washington Monument and Washington National Cathedral suffered the most high-profile damage, it’s important to remember that the effects of that temblor were extensive, if not terribly severe. While the cathedral and the monument both require tens of millions of dollars in repair work to their epic masonry, it’s important to remember the other affected areas, even if the temblor left nothing more than a few easily removable pieces of rubble.
