Getting caught in yesterday afternoon’s rain storm was not pleasant. Losing power, again, from that brief storm is worse.

But a small silver lining, err should I say, red-hue lining to all that calamity would’ve been the strikingly beautiful sunset (in some parts) that followed the rain. A few DCist Flickr pool contributors captured some of those scenes with the sun’s bright red rays blending into those dispersing rain clouds.
