FOOD & DRINK: Shaw’s Tavern (520 Florida Avenue NW) cooks up dishes to pair with beers from Three Stars Brewery for a four-course Southern Belle Beer Dinner this evening. The menu includes house smoked foie butter on toast with pickled blueberry paired with a Sauternes and Urban Saison “cocktail”, beer battered sweetbreads paired with Urban Farmhouse Saison, Southern Belle corned pork belly paired with Southern Belle Imperial Brown, lamb stewed in Pandemic paired with Pandemic Porter, and “Coffee & Donuts” (Pandemic coffee cream cocoa nibs paired with Pandemic Coffee Porter). 7:30 p.m. $55.
