Turquoise Jeep is a label filled with acts that might seem like jokes, but are in fact damned serious about their crafts. After releasing a few YouTube videos, Flynt Flossy and his partner in crime, Whatchyamacallit, continued to add talent to their lineup with the rapper Yung Humma, who performs Turquoise Jeep’s biggest hit, “Lemme Smang It.” “Smanging”, for those who are unfamiliar with the term, is portmanteau of “smashing” and “banging.”

The group plays tonight at U Street Music Hall, and today’s Song of the Day is one of their most ridiculous tracks, “Fried or Fertilized.” Instead of trying to paraphrase the track’s subject matter, I’ll refer straight to Humma’s lyrics: “When I say ‘fried,’ I’m talking breakfast eggs/But when I fertilize, those the eggs between your legs.” The video is just as great.
