Three men were shot outside a nightclub on the U Street NW corridor early Monday morning, and police are still investigating what led to the gunfire.
A Metropolitan Police Department spokesman said that the complainants were on the 1900 block of 12th Street NW, near the Indulj Restaurant and Lounge, when shots were fired about 12:30 a.m. One victim was hit in the shoulder, another in the leg and the third in the lower back; all three were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not described any possible suspects, and have not yet determined what type of firearm (or how many) was used in the shooting, nor what prompted the incident. NBC4 reported that a white vehicle may have been involved in the shooting, but the MPD spokesman tells DCist that no such vehicle has been connected to the scene.
