Photo by wolfkannREPEAL DAY: Even though prohibition wasn’t lifted in D.C. until three months after the rest of the country, Jack Rose Dining Saloon (2007 18th Street NW) is celebrating Repeal Day tonight with prohibition-priced cocktails (50 cent prohibition punch), burlesque, a 1920’s inspired menu (including a $20 four-course tasting menu from 5:00-10:00 p.m.) and more. 5:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m.

SANDY BENEFIT: Break out your flip-flops and head to The Mansion on O Street (2020 O Street NW) for the Beach Ball, a beach-themed fundraiser for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. The event will include boardwalk-themed food, a DJ, prizes, and more. 5:30-9:30 p.m. $50 (100% of ticket sales will be donated to the Red Cross).
UGLY SWEATER: Mount Pleasant Main Street is hosting an Ugly Holiday Sweater Party and Fundraiser at Marx Cafe (3203 Mount Pleasant Street NW) tonight. 7:30-10:30 p.m.
MUSIC: The Faint perform songs from their third album, Danse Macabre, at the 9:30 Club (815 V Street NW) this evening. Trust and Icky Blossoms also take the stage. 7:00 p.m. $30.
HOLIDAY SHOPPING: Entrepreneurial teens from BUILD are selling DC branded hoodies, fragrant oils, food items, and more at their annual Holiday Sales Bazaar taking place tonight at the Hill Center (921 Pennsylvania Avenue SE). There will also be beverages from New Columbia Distillers and DC Brau at the event. Come out to shop and support the good work of BUILD, which uses entrepreneurship to engage local youth. 6:00-8:00 p.m. Free to attend.
