Robert Griffin III isn’t only a fantastic quarterback for the ‘Skins, but his winning ways also seem to rub off on other area teams.
Griffin stopped by the Verizon Center yesterday, where he witnessed—dare we say inspired?—the Washington Wizards’ second season victory. (The team’s first win was last week against the Portland Trailblazers.)
The victory didn’t come against a middling team, though, but rather against the star-studded defending champions, the Miami Heat. Through sheer grit and determination the Wizards bested the Heat 105-101, setting season-highs in assists, field goal percentage and points in regulation in the process. The ever-humble Griffin later tweeted of the game: “Was a great one!”
Now if he can only show up to the remaining home games, we might just have a chance at an NBA championship.
