A man intentionally jumped in front of a Green Line train at Fort Totten earlier today, but was found alive and taken to the hospital.

Green Line trains are currently single-tracking between Georgia Avenue/Petworth and West Hyattsville, and Yellow Line trains are stopping at Fort Totten.

According to the Examiner, this suicide attempt is the 11th so far this year; five have resulted in fatalities. In September Metro began an outreach and public awareness campaign in order to discourage people from jumping in front of trains.
