Want to live in the middle of the city, in one of the newest and largest developments to be built in downtown D.C.? It’ll cost you.
The Washington Business Journal reports that the developers of CityCenterDC, the massive mixed-use project only a block from Chinatown, have started marketing the 216 condos that will make up part of the development’s residential component. And given the location and luxury, they won’t be cheap:
The Residences at CityCenter will include 216 condo units and is slated for delivery in the fall. CityCenter developers Hines and Archstone have retained The Mayhood Co. to market the units, which were designed by London-based architecture firm Foster + Partners. One-bedroom units will start at $500,000 and will range in size from 689 square feet to about 1,000 square feet. Two-bedroom units will start at $800,000 and will range from just over 1,000 square feet to upward of about 2,160 square feet.
The condos will be available as of this fall, when the development, funded with a $700 million investment from the Qatari sovereign wealth fund, is completed.
