>> A former D.C. Public Schools principal filed a complaint in federal court that teachers and administrators in the school system routinely falsified students’ standardized test scores in order to win cash and other prizes. The Washington Post reports that Adell Cothorne, who was principal of Noyes Education Campus in Brookland for the 2010-11 school year, will talk more about her allegations tonight on an episode of the PBS documentary series Frontline focusing on public education in the District.

>> The Kennedy Center is kind of, sort of realizing that it was probably bad when Michael Kaiser told the head of a major Latino organization to “go fuck yourself” over complaints that the Kennedy Center Honors routinely overlooks Hispanic artists. The Associated Press reports that a review board has been impaneled to look at how the Kennedy Center picks its honorees.
