During the mouthwatering Inauguration Lunch, First Lady Michelle Obama was spotted apparently rolling her eyes—or throwing “world-historic shade”—at House Speaker John Boehner. Now, the mystery of her reaction has been solved… if you believed in the science of lip-reading!

Inside Edition spoke to “expert lip reader Larry Wenig” who took watched the video (see below) of the First Lady, President Obama and Boehner (the First Lady was between them).

Wenig believes John Boehner is asking President Obama whether he had a chance to have a cigarette before the luncheon.

President Obama gave up cigarettes three years ago. Boehner is a known chain smoker.

Our lip reader, Wenig, caught Boehner saying, “Somebody won’t let you do it”, referring to Michelle, which prompted the first lady’s big eye roll.

Awkward talk about smoking is probably the friendliest thing these two guys can do.
