MOVIE: Whether you view The Big Lebowski as a source of zen wisdom or just an entertaining film makes no difference. Either way, head to the Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse (2903 Columbia Pike Arlington VA) tonight for Dude Fest. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., followed by music from the movie at 7:30 p.m., a trivia and costume contest at 8:40 p.m. (everyone who dresses up and participates in the contest will receive free movie passes for a future visit), and the film at 9:00 p.m. Seats do fill up, so get there early. $12.
KARAOKE: They’ve competed all month at Little Miss Whiskey’s and Sticky Rice’s karaoke nights. Tonight, the best of the best karaokers take the stage at the Rock and Roll Hotel (1353 H Street NE) to belt it out in an attempt to with the fifth H Street Karaoke Cup. 9:00 p.m.
FAREWELL: Third Edition (1218 Wisconsin Avenue NW) is closing its doors, but before it departs into the night, it’s holding one last hoorah. Come out for the closing party this evening and partake in free hors d’oeuvres and drink specials all night. 7:00 p.m. Free.
