>> The INTERSECTIONS festival concludes this weekend at the Atlas with shows by vocalist Akua Allrich, saxophonist Aakash Mittal and performances of HOLDING IT DOWN: The Veterans’ Dreams Project, a poetry/music collaboration between pianist Vijay Iyer and spoken word artist Michael Ladd.

>> Saxophonist Bill Evans has played with giants like Miles Davis and John McLaughlin over the course of his 30-year career. On Friday, he will lead his band, Soulgrass, at The Hamilton. 8:30 p.m. $24.50.

>> Vocalist Gretchen Parlato‘s career has taken off since we first interviewed her nearly two years ago. >> CapitalBop presents its monthly Jazz Loft on Sunday, and this iteration will honor Women’s History Month.
