The rapper 2 Chainz was found not guilty on marijuana and paraphernalia possession charges in a Talbot County, Md. court today. A judge ruled that 2 Chainz, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, could not be proven as the owner of a metal grinder that was found inside a bag during a traffic stop earlier this year, The (Easton, Md.) Star-Democrat reported.

Epps was arrested Feb. 14 while traveling to a show at the Unviersity of Maryland, Eastern Shore after police pulled over the van he was traveling in for speeding on U.S. Route 50. The officer making the stop noticed a scent of burned marijuana and proceeded to search the van. During the search, the officer found a bag belonging to Epps that contained the grinder and arrested the rapper for possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.

The case took a turn for the strange when upon his release, 2 Chainz uploaded to his Instagram account a photo depicting him posing with two smiling police officers.

But in court today, Judge William H. Adkins III found Epps not guilty after a security guard who had been traveling on 2 Chainz’s tour claimed ownership of the grinder. Adkins said that the duffel bag in which the grinder was found definitely belonged to Epps, but that prosecutors could not prove that the rapper also owned the grinder.
