Just in time to turn the nation’s attention about from multiple scandals, Time Magazine has published photos of President Obama on his prom night in 1979.

Photos from that special night in Hawaii were obtained by Time from a former classmate of the president’s. Kelli Allman told Time the night was “a really fun, happy time” and “pretty typical.” Exciting!

The fun photos are the perfect things to distract America from the confirmation that drones killed four U.S. citizens, which Obama will discuss at a press conference today. Right, America?
