Dulles Airport: only seventh-worst! Photo by BrianMKA
A California man wanted in the killing of a family of four in the Czech Republic was detained Thursday evening at Dulles International Airport. Kevin Dahlgren, 20, was taken into custody after his flight from Vienna landed.
Dahlgren, the Associated Press reports, is a suspect in the deaths of a married couple and their two sons in Brno, the Czech Republic’s second-largest city, who were found slain Wednesday by firefighters responding to a blaze at their home. According to Czech media, the deceased woman was Dahlgren’s aunt, and Dahlgren had been staying with her family for three weeks before their deaths, but police are not confirming that. Dahlgren is originally from Palo Alto, Calif.
Czech officials issued an international warrant for Dahlgren, though it is still unknown how he made it out of the Czech Republic and to the Austrian capital to catch a United Airlines flight back to the United States. However, two cities are only about two hours apart by train.
