The second location of &pizza, a delicious pizza joint that tortures writers with its ampersand, will open on U Street this Wednesday in the old Quiznos spot near the 13th Street Metro station exit.

The new location will open daily at 11 a.m. and will close at 11 p.m. on Sunday through Wendesday, at 2 a.m. on Thursday and at 3:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. It will offer the same assembly line pizza as the original &pizza on H Street.

H&pizza opened next to Taylor Gourmet last July and quickly became a very popular spot on the H Street Corridor. The eatery offers customers the chance to pick from already crafted pizzas — like the meaty Maverick and egg-topped Farmer’s Daughter — or to create their own.

&pizza also announced that it will open its third location at the Monroe Street Market in Brookland, which is currently under construction.
