Some major crimes bring the promise of cash rewards to brave citizens who help turn in the perpetrators. So the incident that prompted the reward in a hot Montgomery County case must have been so brazen, it’s elicited a material prize that should pique the interest, or at least the appetite, of any aspirational detective.

NBC4 is reporting that a Boloco restaurant in Bethesda is offering 50 burritos to anyone who can help Montgomery County Police find the individual who broke in last month and made off with an amount of cash from the store’s safe and cash register. The incident happened about 2:50 a.m. on May 27.

The burrito chain posted video and an advertisement for the savory award on YouTube. And, as evidenced by some of the frames inserted into surveillance video of the theft, it appears Boloco is hardly a stranger to break-ins. One of the company’s stores in Boston was hit last year.
