>> Guitarist Marc Antoine has played on sessions with a number of pop giants over the years, including Sting, Celine Dion and Rod Stewart. He will lead his own group tonight at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club. >> Jazz promoter Jeff Stacey is trying to create a new home for local jazz musicians at Ulah Bistro, located in the heart of the U Street Corridor. The venue is experimenting with a weekend jazz night, and a solid turnout on Friday would make it a regular occurrence. This week’s sets will feature MP3, a trio under the direction of bassist Mike Pryor. 11 p.m. No cover.

>> Drummer, composer, and bandleader E.J. Strickland is most noted for his work with The Ravi Coltrane Quartet and bands lead by his brother, saxophonist Marcus Strickland. He will be stepping out into the spotlight this weekend, leading a quartet at Bohemian Caverns on Friday and Saturday. 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. sets. Tickets $18 online, $23 at the door.
