D.C.-raised rapper Tabi Bonney saluted the city in a short video for Washington’s tourism organization released last week.

“Some people call this place the most powerful city in the world,” Bonney says while images of the H Street NE corridor and a man on a bike play in the background. “I just call it Washington, D.C. I just call it home.”

That part’s not technically correct anymore, as Bonney has left D.C. for Los Angeles. But the sentiment is still nice enough.

Later in the video, a couple is shown riding in a pedicab and a group of people whimsically run down a street holding sparklers, as all locals do on a regular basis.

“A lot of people just pass through,” Bonney concludes, “But this is my home. D.C., I love you.” Even though the city doesn’t have any good sandwiches?
