Fairfax County Police say 72-year-old Joe Edwin Honesty of Alexandria reported a bomb threat at the courthouse Wednesday morning. The kicker? Police believe the reported explosive device never existed.
According to a press release, officers, detectives and deputies obtained information that them led to Honesty, who was inside the courthouse on an unrelated matter. He was then arrested and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, located next door to the courthouse. Honesty was charged with making a bomb threat and held without bond.
This sure makes D.C. residents’ reluctance to pay for Honest Tea tea look pretty minor, doesn’t it?
