>> Diplo’s Mad Decent label has made a big impact on the electronic music scene. As a result, the show’s being taken on the road with a litany of folks: Major Lazer, Zeds Dead, Flosstradamus, SBTRKT DJ Set, Skream, Riff Raff, Griz, Lunice, Anamanaguchi, DJ Say Wut, Billy The Gent, Nacey, Steve Starks, Obeyah, HYX & H0U5T0N, Ransom, Weii, Lemz, Rez, Nature Rage and Jon Kwest. They’ll all be at Merriweather Post Pavilion. $30-75, 2 p.m.

>> R&B legend Stephanie Mills will be at the Birchmere for an evening of her songbook. She’ll be joined by V. Rich. $69.50, 7:30 p.m.

>> Former Howard student and legendary R&B singer/songwriter/producer Angela Winbush returns to D.C. for two shows a night at Blues Alley, Friday through Sunday. $43, 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

>> Best known for the track “It’s Time For The Percolator,” Chicago producer/DJ Cajmere stops by the U Street Music Hall. $12, 10 p.m.

>> The exploration of vintage soul, funk and Latin grooves on 45s at Moneytown continues at Little Miss Whiskey’s. On hand will be resident DJ Nitekrawler and a guest all the way from Texas, DJ Coolhands. Free, 10 p.m.

>> It’s Philly vs. D.C. at Tropicalia. In a battle of African diasporic rhythm DJ sets, Rich Medina will square off against the Sol Power All-Stars. $5, 10 p.m.

Saturday:

>> The Summer Spirit Festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion has a line-up chock-full of talent. The following acts are slated to be in appearance: D’Angelo, Erykah Badu, Busta Rhymes, Rare Essence, Black Alley and Hiatus Kaiyote. $46-125, 5 p.m.

>> The Reminisce party returns for its usual first Saturday slot at Liv where DJ Quartermaine will be supplying the sounds of ’90’s hip-hop and R&B. 9:30 p.m. Free with RSVP until 11 p.m.
