It’s a D.C. Beer Week miracle! Noted Falls Church, Va. brewpub Mad Fox Brewing Company will expand into D.C., with plans to open in Glover Park in 2014.

Via a press release, Mad Fox CEO, founder, and executive brewer Bill Madden announced today that he’ll expand into D.C. with a new 4,590 square foot taproom located at 2218 Wisconsin Avenue NW, in the heart of the Glover Park neighborhood.

Just like its flagship Falls Church location, the new Mad Fox location—which will be called Mad Fox Brewing Company Taproom (Mad Fox Taproom)—will feature all of its award-winning craft brews, with up to 24 draught and cask options. The 127-seat establishment will also feature a full menu of traditional pub grub and snacks, including apps, sandwiches, burgers, salads, and small plates.

And as for the brewing? Madden says, “All of the beers will be brewed in Falls Church in our 15-barrel brewery. We have plenty of capacity in our brewery and we’ll be able to serve all of our Falls Church fans, wholesale clients and the Glover Park taproom without any compromises.”

Details are still being ironed out about the permits for the location, but Madden says he hopes to have that all sorted out by September, with the Mad Fox Taproom opening as early as “the first quarter of 2014.”
