A D.C. man was sentenced to 22 years in prison today for murdering an 18-year-old Maryland woman he met online.
Alexander Buckley, 22, pleaded guilty in June to the second-degree murder of Siobhan Lee, a recent high school graduate from Prince George’s County. According to the government, Buckley and Lee met on the social media site Tagged, which allows users to “meet, date, chat and flirt.” They agreed to meet in the area of 5th and Nicholson Streets NW in January, where Buckley shot Lee in the head and took her iPhone and iPod Touch. He was arrested shortly after the murder.
