Just when you thought the uses for a sliced doughnut had hit its peak, this happens: PhoWheels and Astro Doughnuts have collaborated on a banh mi sandwich.

As Eater D.C. reports:

It’s got PhoWheels banh mi fillings— five-spice maple-glazed pork belly, soy garlic chicken, or mushroom-onion tofu, plus pickled radish and carrots, cilantro, cucumbers, and truffle aioli— inside a savory Astro doughnut made with bacon, cheddar, and chives.

The sandwich, which shouldn’t exist but happily does, costs $8 and is available from the DCist-approved PhoWheels through September. Go find one.
