Today, there was a Senate Foreign Relations Committee meeting about the situation in Syria because President Obama would like to attack it—but not without a Congressional okay. Senator John McCain, who is eager for Congress to approve action, must be confident in Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s efforts to round up enough votes—’cause he was seen playing poker on his iPhone.

The Washington Post reported on its liveblog, “As the hearing continues, our ace photographer Melina Mara reports she spotted Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) ‘passing the time by playing poker on his iPhone during the hearing.’ We eagerly await the photographic proof, but generally trust Melina’s sharp eye.” And she sent over the photograph:

UPDATE: McCain commented via Twitter, “Scandal! Caught playing iPhone game at 3+ hour Senate hearing – worst of all I lost!”
