A fundraiser for Terrence Boston, a deceased D.C. firefighter whose family was robbed during his funeral, will be held at the Tune Inn on Capitol Hill this morning.

Boston, a 12-year veteran of D.C. Fire and EMS, was killed in late August in a motorcycle accident. During his funeral last week, his family’s Brandywine home was robbed of electronics, jewelry and other valuables. The 49-year-old firefighter left behind a wife, who is also a firefighter, and six children. A college fund was set up for the three youngest boys and has raised just over $5,200.

A $20 donation collected at the door will cover breakfast and beer specials. According to organizers, all proceeds will go to Boston’s family. The fundraiser ends at noon.
