Bottoms up: DC Brau has been ranked as the fifth fastest-growing brewery in the country by The Street.

According to The Street, DC Brau, which was the catalyst for D.C.’s recent craft brewery revival, has skyrocketed it’s production since it opened in 2011. In just a year, DC Brau has pushed it’s production from 1,698 barrels to 5,002. Damn, that’s a lot of beer.

But DC Brau hasn’t just been pushing out a lot more beer, they’ve been successfully creating a marketable brand for themselves, with the wide can distribution of flagship brews like the Public Pale Ale, the Corruption IPA, and the Citizen Belgian Pale Ale, as well as partnering with breweries across the country and different local companies for special limited edition brews to help boost its image. How many other MLS teams have their own special beer?

Most notably, DC Brau has helped boost the idea that craft breweries can, in fact, exist again in the D.C. area, leading to other breweries like 3 Stars, Chocolate City, and Atlas Brew Works. D.C. is finally starting to become a craft beer town.

Cheers, DC Brau.
