A candlelight vigil for the victims of the shooting at Navy Yard will be held tonight at Freedom Plaza.
The New Organizing Institute tweeted that the vigil, organized by Project to End Gun Violence, would be held at 7:30 p.m. Participants are asked to bring a candle.
Eddie Weingart, founder and chair of the Project to End Gun Violence, told DCist he and others will speak tonight. Survivors of gun violence are also scheduled to speak about their experience will violence.
