Tomorrow at 10:30 a.m., the No More Names bus tour—an advocacy group dedicated to ending gun violence in the U.S.—will roll into the District to lead a rally on the steps of the U.S. Capitol building.
The group says they’re “bringing the call for common sense gun laws directly to the Capitol” with what will be one of their “biggest events yet.” The No More Names bus has been on tour all summer, organizing similar rallies in twenty-five states that featured gun violence survivors and others speaking out to urge members of Congress to change the nation’s gun control laws.
Although the No More Names D.C. tour stop was planned weeks ago, the timing happens to fall days after the tragic Navy Yard shooting that left 12 dead and eight injured.
