No, you still can’t bring these on planes. Sorry. Photo courtesy TSA.

In the course of a three day span, two different men tried to bring loaded guns onto airplanes at Reagan National Airport, only to have the Transportation Security Administration stop them and remind them that no, you still can’t bring weapons on airplanes.

According to a release, an Alexandria, Va. man was stopped by TSA agents on Friday, September 13 for trying to bring a “.25 caliber Raven firearm loaded with six rounds along with seven additional rounds” onto his flight to Minneapolis, Minn. The man was cited by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police on a state weapons charge.

Two days later, a Centreville, Va. man was also stopped by TSA at National Airport for trying to bring a “9 mm caliber Rugar firearm loaded with 16 rounds and one chambered” to Atlanta, Ga. Again, the TSA had to remind him that, no, you cannot bring that onto an airplane. He was also cited on a state weapons charge.

Not really sure how many times this needs to be reiterated, but regardless, the TSA would like to remind you that you still can’t bring weapons on airplanes:

As a reminder, weapons-including firearms, firearm parts and ammunition-are not permitted in carry-on bags, but can be transported in checked bags if they are unloaded, properly packed and declared to the airline. Passengers who bring firearms to the checkpoint are subject to possible criminal charges from law enforcement and civil penalties from TSA.
