Police are looking for a man they say robbed and kidnapped a woman near Eastern Market this week.

The woman was approached by an unknown man in the 1000 block of G Street SE at around 9:35 p.m. Wednesday when he produced a gun and demanded her property, the Metropolitan Police Department said in a release. The man then demanded the woman drive to an ATM in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE and withdraw funds. The woman was released in the area of 10th and E Streets SE, and the man drove off with her vehicle.

Police describe the person of interest as a “black male, medium to dark complexion, slim build, early to mid-thirties, 5’8” to 5’9” in height, dressed in all brown clothing.” A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered in the case, People with information are asked to call (202) 727-9099.
