Praise be, regular panda cub updates are back.

A veterinary exam this morning revealed that the panda cub has gained another pound since last Friday (meaning she’s now 6.73 pounds) and is “very healthy,” the National Zoo said in a release. She also received her first vaccine and “rested comfortably through much of the exam.”

Mama Mei Xiang is spending more time away from her cub, who is now crawling, taking a whole hour this morning to go outside and eat. The cub, who has yet to be named, will make her debut early next year.
