At least three people, possibly four, have been shot in Northeast D.C. in the 3900 block of Minnesota Avenue.

According to a Metropolitan Police Department public information officer, police responded to reports of gunshots this afternoon and found at least three victims on the scene when they arrived. The MPD PIO says that there is possibly a fourth victim, but could not confirm this. All three confirmed victims are male and their ages range from juvenile to adult. The condition of the victims wasn’t immediately available, but the officer said that all of them were conscious and breathing when police arrived on the scene. However, at least one victim was shot multiple times.

Police are investigating the shooting and are currently looking for a suspect who is described as a black male wearing a black mask.

Update: MPD confirms that four people were shot—three males, one female—in front of a Payless Shoe Store on the 3900 block of Minnesota Avenue NE. At least two victims have serious injuries. MPD says they have at least one person in custody, but hasn’t released any other details.
