Police have made an arrest in connection to yesterday’s quadruple shooting outside of a Payless ShoeSource in the 3900 block of Minnesota Avenue NE yesterday.

A Metropolitan Police Department public information officer tells DCist that police arrested 51-year-old Victor Leon Coley of Northeast D.C. yesterday at his residence at 3536 Clay Place NE. Police are charging Coley with four counts of assault with intent to kill.

At about 1 p.m. Wednesday, police say Croley opened fire in front of the store, injuring four people—three males and one female. According to the PIO, all four victims are currently in stable condition. NBC4 spoke to one of the victims, who was shot in the finger:

“I was getting ready to go to Safeway to get some groceries,” the man said. “After I [saw] one gentleman get shot two times, another one got shot. I feel scared. That’s the neighborhood I was raised in.”

Currently, there is no known motive as to why Coley allegedly shot four people, but an investigation is underway.
