Since it’s been on the Internet for three days, you’ve probably seen the video: A teacher spins a basketball on a pen while grading papers. But did you know that the man in the video is a physics teacher at St. John’s College High School right here in D.C.?

Yes, as the Washington Post reports, the teacher is David Hovan, whose AP class will be visited today by Harlem Globetrotter Handles Franklin. Hovan will then appear at a Globetrotters event in 2014 at the Verizon Center to show off his spin skills.
