A man who was stabbed outside a Dupont Circle nightclub early Monday has died, as NBC4 first reported.

Police responded to a call of a large fight outside the Midtown club on Connecticut Avenue NW around 2:10 a.m. Sephar Jean-Simon, 22, of Silver Spring was stabbed multiple times and was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. From the Post:

Officer Anthony Clay, a D.C. police spokesman, said an officer was injured trying to break up the fight. He said the officer suffered a separated shoulder when he was thrown to the ground and kicked.

A suspect was arrested and was being charged with felony assault on a police officer, Clay said. His name was not immediately released.
