>> Louisiana native and trumpeter for the Army Blues, Graham Breedlove will be leading a group tonight at Strathmore. Breedlove is a mentor for Strathmore’s Artist-in-Residence program, and so his set will feature two of this year’s AIRs, vocalist Christie Dashiell and saxophonist Elijah Balbed. 7:30 p.m. Tickets $15-$17.

>> Cindy Blackman-Santana is a virtuoso drummer who first gained widespread recognition through her work with Lenny Kravitz. Keyboardist Federico Gonzalez Peña has assembled a group of the city’s finest to help owner Omrao Brown get the club back on its feet after what must have been a trying time. >> Combining the infectious rhythms of South Asian bhangra music with the horn driven power of a New Orleans brass band, Red Baraat is rightfully building a reputation as one of the best live bands on the concert circuit.
